Charity Schubert has made New York City her home since 2009. Born just outside of St. Louis, she moved to Louisiana at the age of 13. She studied Theatre and French at Centenary College of Louisiana where she was seen and well-reviewed in numerous productions at the Marjorie Lyons Playhouse. She has been delighted to work with River City Repertory Theatre, East Bank Theatre, and The Company Repertory Theatre in Shreveport, Louisiana.
She earned her SAG card playing a flight attendant in Harold and Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay.
Since moving to New York, Charity has made her first foray into puppeteering in the new musical Unville Brazil (FullStop Collective), and recently starred in The Illusion of Kindness (Native Aliens Theatre Collective). She has performed in numerous readings and workshops, studied with a variety of respected instructors, and has developed a passion for burlesque.
Recently, she has co-founded The Astoria Forum with fellow actor Chris Norwood. The Astoria Forum is a free, open, weekly gathering of actors, directors, writers, and musicians who come together to share their work.
